There is a specific etiquette around giving gifts to the boss that should be noted. Carithers added, “Gifts to the boss should be delivered as a group effort. This minimizes any office discord that might be created if some employees feel that they are trying to be outdone by another. One gift from the entire staff also allows everyone to contribute to the cost and present a generous thank you for all that their managers and leaders do for them and the company.”

Many of the available floral arrangements and gifts available through Carithers Flowers are eligible for Petal RewardsTM, the company’s loyalty club in which one reward point is given for every dollar spent that can be redeemed during checkout for cash savings on future orders, exchanged for brand name merchandise, or donated to the charity of choice.

About National Boss Day and Week

National Boss Day was started in 1958 by Patricia Bays Haroski, an employee at State Farm Insurance Company in Deerfield, Illinois. She selected and registered the holiday as October 16 to commemorate her father’s birthday. She began the holiday as a way to improve the relationship between employees and their supervisors.
